Visit Dresden, the capital of Saxony, with its variety of sights. Admire the “Fürstenzug”, the Church of Our Lady and the Zwinger of Dresden or make a trip on a steam ship on the river Elbe.

In the neighbourhood of Dresden are many castles with well-tended parks. For example the Castle Moritzburg, which, build in a wide park on a man-made island, served the Elector of Saxony, Augustus II the Strong, for his glittering parties.

Or the Castle Pillnitz, a jewel at the shore of the river Elbe, with its impressive park and the Garden of Lust, arrangend by the Wasserpalais, the Bergpalais and the New Palais.

Recommended is also a visit of the more than 1000 years old town Meißen, situated at the river Elbe. It invites the visitors to a stroll through the medieval streets and lanes. On the way to there one can enjoy the picturesque wine landscape of the valley of the Elbe.

Extensive and relaxing walking-tours can be made through the romantic landscape of the National Park Saxon Switzerland.

Dresden and its environs have for everybody something to offer.
